My platform for the Parish Executive Committee is pretty similar to the platform for the DSCC because the goals for the two organizations should be the same. We need to work to push Democratic ideals. Three things I would like to see in the OPDEC would be: 

• More activity in the First Congressional District, which slices through many parts of Orleans Parish. The election of Shelley Midura on the Council, has proved that Democrats can pick up seats in areas that have supported Republicans in the past.
• A move towards less factions and more independence in the endorsement of candidates.
• A removal of parliamentary tricks that would prevent people from voicing their opinion. I have been a part of too many committees where people will try and shut off debate before everyone gets their say and this is wrong.
