I was born on May 20, 1976, in Wilmington, Delaware. My parents, Robbyn and Neil, moved to Baltimore when I was 1 week old. Both of my parents are civil servants.

I attended the Baltimore Polytechnic Institute, a magnet high school for math and science students in the Baltimore area. I graduated with a 4.0. During high school I was on the swim team. I was also in Boy Scout Troop 97, where I achieved the rank of Star.

I moved to the New Orleans area in 1994 when I started attending Tulane University. While I made some good friendships at Tulane, the Computer Science department did not really fit my needs.I graduated with a B.S. in Computer Science at the University of New Orleans. While attending Graduate School, I was honored to be selected by the department to be a Graduate Assistant. I was able to teach a variety of labs and lectures, including a class held at St. Augustine to introduce their seniors to the field of Computer Science. Seeing the look on a student's face when he/she grasps difficult material for the first time is truly a wonderful feeling.

I currently work at Pan American Life as a software developer. I am married to the former Cassandra Thomas. We own a house together in Algiers where we plan to start a family.
